Short Biography

Prof. Wei He received his B.Eng. and his M.Eng. degrees from College of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology (SCUT), China, in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and his PhD degree from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, in 2011.

Prof. He is currently working as a professor in School of Automation and Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Beijing Information Science and Technology University, and School of Intelligence Science and Technology and Institute of Artificial Intelligence, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China.

Prof. He is a Fellow of IEEE and AAIA. He has co-authored 4 books and published over 300 international journal and conference papers. He is a highly cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics from 2019 to 2024. From 2016, he has been the Chair of IEEE SMC Society Beijing Capital Region Chapter. From 2018, he has been the Chair of IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Autonomous Bionic Robotic Aircraft. He is serving as the Senior Editor of IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems. He was served/is serving as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Robotics, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, SCIENCE CHINA Information Sciences, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, etc. His current research interests include robotics and intelligent control systems.
